I’ve been with Tallwave for six and a half years.
What is your favorite part of your current role?
Hands down, my favorite part of this job is the people I work with – our clients and team are outstanding. No question.
What is one thing you are most proud of since you’ve been at Tallwave?
There are two. One, although bittersweet, is that several employees I’ve mentored and managed have gone on to amazing opportunities for their career. Two, our core values, which I architected and led, and now they’re deeply infused into our culture in a meaningful way.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Keep your eye on the donut not the hole.” That’s advice for business and for life passed down to me by my mother, who was told by my grandfather – two of the most entrepreneurial people I’ve ever known.
What is the strangest job you’ve ever had?
I was a waiter at a wild game restaurant back in the day.
What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
Determined, straight-forward, cactus.
Yes, cactus. It’s a nickname that was given to my by a previous boss. His explanation: You don’t have to feed it or water it. You can leave it in the sun forever. You can back over it with a truck…and it’ll still find a way to grow.
What is your favorite part of the AZ tech scene?
The willingness of people to help one another, realizing that that’s an important part of the scene growing.
I have an 11-year-old daughter and she’s amazing
What’s something most people wouldn’t know about you or do you have an interesting hobby?
I took up boxing about 5 years ago and I love to cook.
